Pipe Straightening Machine

The machine is fully automatic, with auto loading and auto unloading. The operator loads a batch, the feeding mechanism presents each pipe to the measuring station, and finished parts leave the machine sorted by result. No manual flipping, re-gauging or re-feeding is needed inside the cycle, which is what makes the straightness result stable over a full production shift.
Closed-Loop Straightness Control
The straightness target is set on the control system at whatever value the drawing requires. Before straightening, the system measures the runout and straightness of the pipe as it arrives. During the cycle the system monitors and measures the current straightness at all straightening points. After each pressing pass it re-checks the runout; only when all straightening points are within the set straightness does the system finish the current cycle and shift to the next workpiece.
This per-point closed loop is the core difference between an automatic machine and a press with a dial indicator: the machine proves each part against the programmed number, part after part, without operator judgment in the loop.
The straightness can be set at the value that you expect.
The system will measure the runout /straightness before straightening;
The system will monitor and measure the current straightness for all straightening point.
After all straightening points are within the set straightness, then the system will finish the current straightening cycle and then shift to the next straightening cycle.

Where This Class of Machine Fits
An automatic press straightening machine of the AMS-PS series covers the middle of the pipe size spectrum: long enough for 800 mm pipes with room for loading and unloading, and accurate enough for a 0.1 mm tolerance without exotic fixturing. Shorter and thinner pipes move toward high-speed linkages with rotary measurement; longer, stiffer pipes move toward machines with more press tonnage and powered supports. The boundary is worth discussing with the machine supplier rather than assuming, because the wrong side of it shows up as either wasted capacity or unmet tolerance.
For a production line, the machine is usually one station among several. Upstream there is cleaning and crack detection where the parts demand it; downstream there is final gauging and sorting. The straightening machine closes its own loop per part, and the line around it decides throughput. When we quote a machine, we ask about the neighboring stations for exactly this reason: a machine that can hold 0.1 mm at 400 parts per hour is the wrong machine if the line feeds it 60 parts per hour with a crane.
The same tolerance also has to survive what happens after straightening. A pipe measured at 0.08 mm in the machine and then dropped into a bin can arrive at assembly at 0.15 mm, and no machine improvement will fix that. Handling between straightening and assembly is part of the straightness budget, and the honest way to treat it is to hold the machine tighter than the drawing requires so that the rest of the process can spend the remainder.
